Mandelbrot sets examine the behavior of iterative operations on sets of complex numbers, producing some interesting results. This applet allows you to experiment with various parameters to see how it affects the result.

You can use the mouse to select an area in the viewer window to zoom in.

To change the Mandelbrot set, select from the otherwise unlabeled drop-down that says "default" when it starts.
