Minimal effort went into the graphic design of this sample page. Rather, we intended it to demonstrate customization. Customization allows visitors to configure a page for the information they want, which makes your site more attractive and likely to attract more return visits. There are a number of methods to accomplish this, but this sample uses cookies. Select the news categories you want to subscribe to, and assuming you return using the same browser and as the same computer user, the page will remember what you have chosen. You can also select the color scheme you find most appealing.
This page also demonstrates how easy it is to add features such as news reporting on your Web site. News is broadcast using a protocol called RSS. The better RSS news feeds require a paid subscription, but there are a number of public ones available for free. We have chosen from some of those for your enlightenment. We plan to add more as time permits.
In addition to news, your site can include other features such as stock quotes. Furthemore, it is possible to change not just color schemes this way, but layout, and page contents.
